From Fear to Faith
Who We Are
Howell’s Healing & Hope (HHH) is a faith-driven behavioral health and recovery organization based in Richmond, Virginia. We are committed to guiding individuals on a healing journey from substance use, trauma, and emotional distress toward restoration and wholeness. We offer a unique continuum of care—ranging from Partial Hospitalization (ASAM 2.5), Residential Recovery (3.1), and Outpatient Services (1.0)—that integrates clinical best practices with spiritual and community-based support.
Founded on the principle of Faith Over Fear, we create a safe and inclusive space where individuals can reclaim their lives and redefine their future.
What We Offer
Faith-Based Healing
At Howells Healing and Hope, we believe that true transformation begins with spiritual healing. Our Faith-Based Healing services provide a strong foundation of faith, renewal, and guidance through prayer and meditation sessions, personalized spiritual mentorship, and faith-based counseling. We offer Bible study groups, renewal workshops, and reflective exercises designed to help individuals build resilience, overcome fear, and strengthen their connection to God. By integrating faith into the healing journey, we empower individuals to find peace, clarity, and hope for a brighter future.
Life & Career Readiness
Healing is about more than just emotional and spiritual growth—it’s also about building a stable and independent future. Our Life & Career Readiness programs focus on practical skill development to help individuals succeed in both personal and professional life. We offer job training, resume-building workshops, interview preparation, and financial literacy coaching to ensure long-term financial stability. Additionally, we provide mentorship in entrepreneurship and leadership development, equipping individuals with the tools they need to confidently step into new opportunities. Through structured goal-setting and career planning, we help participants create a path toward success and self-sufficiency.
Community & Support Networks
No one should have to walk the journey of healing alone, which is why we place a strong emphasis on Community & Support Networks. At HHH, we foster a culture of encouragement, accountability, and empowerment, ensuring that every individual has the support they need to thrive. We offer peer mentorship programs, transitional housing assistance, and community service opportunities to help individuals reintegrate into society with confidence. Our group support meetings, volunteer initiatives, and leadership development programs create lasting relationships and provide a safe space for individuals to learn, grow, and contribute to a stronger community. Through these networks, participants gain a sense of belonging, purpose, and renewed hope for the future.
Our Story
Howell’s Healing & Hope was born out of lived experience, spiritual calling, and the pressing need for healing spaces that center dignity, community, and equity. The phrase “Faith Over Fear” became more than a motto—it became the foundation for change. Through years of vision casting, community service, and professional development, HHH emerged as a holistic alternative to traditional recovery.
Our founders witnessed first-hand the gaps in services for vulnerable populations—especially for BIPOC individuals impacted by incarceration, addiction, and trauma. Today, HHH stands as a healing home and empowerment hub for those ready to rewrite their story.
